  If my folks had not been scared into joining and had not been so worried about losing us at Armageddon I think I would have been a more well rounded and happier person than I am today.

  Should Homeless People Be Fined if they don't Vacate?

  in sacramento, apparently, the homeless in the tent city are going to be hit with a fine if they don't get out of dodge!

  now, i'm not sure how you go about getting them to pay that fine, but i guess they could head on over to florida to check out that system.

  there was an interview on the radio yesterday where one kind fellow said that if hey didn't get 'out', that someone would go in and destroy all belongings that were there.

  I never understood the reasoning behind the concept. Unless the reasoning is to just lock up a guy forever and ever instead of collecting your money from him. MAkes more sense to me to have the court garnish wages...

  Bad Haircuts.

  i lost all confidence in myself today - i cut my hair and it looks terrible-so strange to think all courage i had in myself could evaporate with a haircut.. then i rememberd all the courage i had (the doors i knocked and theocratic talks i gave) in the name of jehover.. (i guess iam the oposite of sampson !!).

  anyway i was thinking whilst being a j-w was one long bad -haircut.

  what were the positives?.

  It was funny to watch the elders scramble for a replacement. We never got to just do the wt. They ALWAYS had some kiss-ass who would wind up doing some generic talk.

  that's what happened to me during this week's bs about how to "treat the disfellowshipped"?.

  i just picked up my bag and stormed out...... will i get called into the back room?.

  I did at a circuit assembly. The co brother Mega had just taken the dais and was going into his intro when a young child got up and walked to the bathroom.

  Mega stopped talking and followed the boy with his glaring eyes so everyone would see he was distracted. Then he said, MO-DA-LES in deliberately broken Spanish for emphasis. He was complaining that someone was using bad manners by going to the bathroom during his talk. The boy's parents were not even jw's. they had been pressured into going by the person who was studying them. How much love was at the assemblies and blah blah blah. Then this pin-headed nimrod embarrasses the boy and the parents with one look and one word. They left in shame. I left in anger.

  i think i posted on here that i went to the memorial last week.

  my wife's dad has been a jw for over 50 years and has never missed a memorial before.

  he has been getting sicker and sicker and his wife the star pioneer still does nothing for him.
